The Vaughn's are relative newlyweds, having married in 2005, after many years of individual private practice. They are both graduates of Texas Chiropractic College (Pasadena) where they were classmates from 1974 to 1978. Dr. (Mike) Vaughn was recognized as a member of Omega Psi Honor Society and awarded with Cum Laude status upon graduation. His former clinic was located in Alice, Texas, for 26 years, where he faithfully served his community and upon his departure, received the honor of being awarded the 'Key to the City' by Alice's mayor, Grace Saenz Lopez. During his years in Alice, he also served as District President of the Texas Chiropractic Association, as well as various other offices within the organization. He has obtained specialized training in Chiropractic Orthopedics, Clinical Thermography, MUA (manipulation under anesthesia) and Spinal Biophysics. He has also devoted many hours working with student athletic programs, semi-professional and professional athletes.

Dr. Jennifer Zea was in private practice in Houston for 10 years before moving to England in 1988, where she joined the faculty of the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic, serving in the Department of Biomechanics as well as a director for the college's student out-patient clinic. During her stay there, she was involved in research projects analyzing the benefits of chiropractic for conditions such as hypertension and immune system disorders. Upon returning to Texas, she practiced in west Texas, her birthplace, until her daughter's high-school graduation in 1993, after which she moved to Austin. Until the opening of Texas Chiropractic & Family Wellness, she performed locum tenens services to approximately 30 local and area chiropractic offices. She holds special interest and training in the chiropractic treatment of infants, children and expectant mothers. At present, she is nearing completion of a book directed at the prevention and resolution of birth trauma, and will soon launch the book, titled Traumatic Birth: Could Your Child's Challenges Stem From Delivery?  Dr. Jennifer is a second-generation doctor of chiropractic, with both her mother and father entering the profession in the early 1940's. Her father, Dr. W.L. Fausett, continued as a practicing clinician until two weeks before his death at age  93.

The Vaughn's both have grown children who have benefited from a lifetime of chiropractic care, and are now beginning to bring grandchildren in the family as well. Dr. Mike's son, Dr. Ryan Vaughn, is a recent graduate of Texas Chiropractic College, and has now obtained Texas licensure. He is currently working in a chiropractic clinic in Killeen, TX as a staff doctor.  Dr. Ryan and his wife, Becky, have two children--a daughter, Tatum, and  son, Callan.  Becky is currently teaching fourth grade at Ronald Reagan Elementary, and they are happily involved in making Leander their hometown as well.

Dr. Vaughn's daughter, Lauren, and her husband, Tony, also live in Leander. Tony (Hollas) recently graduated with academic honors from the Department of Automotive Technology at Texas State Technical College, and secured a promising new position in a local automotive firm. Lauren is employed by the Texas Department of Health, and they have two children--a daughter, Sophia and their new son,  Blake. Dr. Zea's daughter, Natalie Zea, lives in Los Angeles, working in the television and film industry. She can currently be seen on numerous network and cable TV shows, including the FX series "Justified".

Dr. Vaughn is an avid golfer, and offers special assistance to other golfers to improve their performance, balance and stamina. Both he and Dr. Zea enjoy fishing and swimming in their home's nearby creek, organic cooking, all types of music, as well as outdoor play with a myriad of extended family members, from newborns to grandparents. She is an avid fan of The New York Times crossword puzzle, and spends much of her free time reading, writing and lecturing on subjects pertaining to children's health. They are both very excited to be in Leander, and glad to be back to work after a much appreciated hiatus.
